Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
The Unbroken Collective + You (TUC+U) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and how you can access or correct it.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Throughout this policy, "TUC+U", "we", "our" and "us" refer to The Unbroken Collective + You (TUC+U).
Information We Collect
We only collect the information we need. Depending on how you use our website, this may include:
- Contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number and delivery address.
- Order details, such as the products you purchase and the impact category you choose.
- Nomination and Community Partner details, such as the information you provide when you nominate a charity or organisation or apply to become a Community Partner.
- Messages you send us, such as emails and contact form enquiries.
- Website usage information, such as your device, browser, IP address and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Payments are processed securely by Shopify and its approved payment providers. TUC+U does not see or store your full card details.
Nominating Someone Else
If you nominate a charity, organisation or person, please only share information you have the right to share. Where a nomination includes details about another person, we will only use that information to review the nomination.
How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
- Process and deliver your orders.
- Review nominations and Community Partner applications.
- Decide where our community contributions go each quarter.
- Respond to your questions and requests.
- Send you updates about TUC+U, only where you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Keep our website secure and prevent fraud.
- Meet our legal obligations.
We will never sell your personal information.
Who We Share Information With
We only share personal information with the service providers that help us run TUC+U, and only for that purpose. These include:
- Shopify, which hosts our online store and our website forms, and processes payments.
- Zigpoll, which runs the impact survey at checkout.
- Shipping carriers, such as Australia Post, so we can deliver your order.
- Our email provider, so we can reply to your messages.
Where we consult with grassroots charities, community organisations or Community Partners about a nomination, we only share what is needed to understand the need. Where possible, we will not share your personal details without your consent.
We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
Information Stored Overseas
TUC+U is based in Australia, but some of the services we use store information on servers outside Australia. For example, Shopify may store and process information in countries such as Canada, the United States and countries in Europe.
This means that when you place an order or submit a form, your information may be held overseas by these providers. We choose reputable providers that have their own privacy and security protections in place, and we only use them to run our website and services.

Keeping Your Information Safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No online service is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information to us by email.
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it, or as required by law.
Accessing or Correcting Your Information
You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We may need to confirm your identity before we can help, and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Our website is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
